This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how ShareASphere LLC (“ShareASphere,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you visit shareasphere.com and related services (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Site.
1. Scope
U.S. only. We serve users located in the United States.
18+ only. No one under 18 may create an account or submit information.
2. Information We Collect
Identifiers. Name, primary email, public username, and self-selected referral code you provide during sign-up.
Purpose: account setup, auth, core functionality.
Cookie Data. One first-party referral cookie (referrer ID).
Purpose: attribute new sign-ups to referrers.
Payout Data. Payout email and/or phone number (may differ from account email) and related payout metadata.
Purpose: to process withdrawals via PayPal and Venmo.
Tax & Compliance Data. IRS Form W-9 details (name, address, TIN), TIN-match results, payout totals, and information return status (e.g., 1099-NEC or 1099-K as applicable).
Purpose: tax reporting and legal compliance.
Technical Data. IP, device/browser info, OS, timestamps, usage logs (via Wix hosting).
Purpose: security, fraud prevention, basic analytics.
We don’t collect or store your password; Wix handles encrypted credential storage.

Operate and improve the Site.
1. Verify identity, manage accounts, enforce one-person/one-account rules.
2. Track referrals and run competitions/leaderboards.
3. Process withdrawals via PayPal and Venmo.
4. Perform KYC/fraud/risk checks; investigate suspicious activity; prevent abuse.
5. Request and validate W-9/TIN; meet tax-reporting duties (e.g., 1099-NEC/1099-K).
6. Send transactional and security communications (receipts, verification, payout notices, policy updates).
7. Comply with law and enforce the Terms of Service.
Marketing: We don’t send marketing emails unless you opt in. Transactional/security emails are required for service.
4. Legal Bases / Notice for U.S. State Laws
We designed this Policy to fit major U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., CA, CO, VA, CT). We process information with: (i) your consent; (ii) to perform our contract (TOS); (iii) to meet legal obligations; and (iv) for legitimate interests that don’t override your rights.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose only as follows:

1. Wix (hosting, auth, infrastructure).
2. PayPal and Venmo (payout processing). We share your payout email/phone and necessary payout metadata to release withdrawals.
3. Tax/Compliance & Government. We may submit W-9 data, TIN match requests, and information returns (e.g., 1099-NEC/1099-K) as required by law or platform rules.
2. Legal Compliance. Required by law, subpoena, to protect rights, property, or safety.
3. Business Transfers. In a merger/acquisition/asset sale, data may transfer consistent with this Policy.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use a single first‑party cookie to track referral attribution for up to 30 days. We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics beyond basic site performance, or cross‑site tracking.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser; doing so may prevent referral attribution but will not otherwise affect core Site functionality.
7. Data Security
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption, firewall‑protected servers, and role‑based access controls via Wix. No system is 100% secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security and disclaim liability for data breaches except as prohibited by law.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, and protect our legitimate interests. Our retention schedule is as follows:
• Account Info (name, email, username, referral code): for the life of the account and up to 1 year after deletion/inactivity, or longer if needed for fraud, disputes, or legal compliance.
• Referral Cookie: up to 30 days or until you clear it.
• Payout & Tax Data (PayPal/Venmo metadata, W-9/TIN, payout totals): for the life of the account and up to 1 year after deletion, or longer if required for tax/legal obligations.
• Technical Logs: up to 1 year for security/fraud prevention, then deleted or anonymized.
When retention ends, we delete or irreversibly anonymize unless law requires more.
9. Your Rights and Choices
• Access / Know what we hold.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete subject to legal/contract restrictions (e.g., fraud logs, tax records).
• Portability where feasible.
• Opt-Out of Sale/Share/Targeted Ads: We don’t sell/share or run targeted ads; if that changes, you can opt out.
• Limit Sensitive Data: We don’t intentionally collect sensitive categories; if that changes, you’ll have limits.
How to exercise: Account → Privacy Controls or email support@shareasphere.com. We’ll verify your identity and respond within required timeframes (generally 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension). Appeals: email within 60 days of our decision.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended only for U.S. residents 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover such data, we will delete it promptly.
11. Unified U.S. Privacy Rights
We extend a single set of rights nationwide that meet or exceed major state laws (CCPA/CPRA, CPA, VCDPA, CTDPA, etc.). We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
12. Communications Preferences
• Transactional/Security emails (e.g., verification, payout notices, policy updates) are required while you use the Site.
• Marketing emails only if you opt in; you can opt out anytime via the message footer or settings.

We work to protect your data but make no guarantees and disclaim liability for unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss except where prohibited by law. Privacy disputes follow the Limitation of Liability and Dispute Resolution terms in our Terms of Service (binding arbitration, small-claims/IP carve-outs, Ohio venue for those exceptions).
